Masri coach Mokhtar Mokhtar is satisfied with the coastal side's performances this season, but calls for a cutting edge in order to remain in contention. Port Said club Masri had the best start in years to their Egyptian Premier League campaign and now are on top of the competition's table with 11 points. But former Petrojet tactician Mokhtar is obviously convinced that there is no room for complacency as he admitted Masri's wastefulness could cost them dearly in the upcoming matches. "We could have beaten (Military) Production by a big margin but our strikers were jinxed most of the time and only managed to seal a 1-0 win," he told FilGoal.com. Throughout Friday's league match, Masri marksman Abdoulaye Cisse wasted a number of one-on-one opportunities. "The spurned chances put the players and the fans under immense pressure," Mokhtar added. "We have to make the most of our scoring chances to avoid any unpleasant last-minute surprises. We cannot afford to be misfiring if we are to stay in contention." Masri, whose summer buying spree clearly paid off, have already started preparing for their next league game against Harras Hodoud in Alexandria.
