Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa is close to joining ENPPI on a free transfer starting next season, FilGoal.com understands. Al-Saqqa, who decided last month to end an 11-year spell in Turkish football and return home, announced a while back that he's targeted by three Egyptian outfits. Later on, it turned out that the top-flight trio are Ismaili, Masri and ENPPI who are set to sign the veteran defender. FilGoal.com learnt that ENPPI football director Alaa Abdul-Sadek met with Al-Saqqa on Tuesday morning and both men have already worked out the details of deal. The Petroleum side signed Waleed Soliman and Mohamed Shaban from Petrojet this summer. Al-Saqqa's contract with Eskisehirspor has recently ran out and he's now a free agent. Turkish side Eskisehirspor have tried to talk Al-Saqqa out of departing but the 36-year-old is eager to get back home. Al-Saqqa came through the youth ranks of Mansoura before joining Denizlispor in 1999, to mark the beginning of a lengthy spell in Turkey. He also had two stints with Genclerbirligi and one with Konyaspor before moving to Eskisehirspor in January 2009. The central defender earned 111 international throughout his career, helping Egypt to three African Cup of Nations titles in 1998, 2006 and 2010.
