Algeria's Meghni out of World Cup

Algeria will be without midfielder Mourad Meghni in next month's World Cup due to a knee injury, the Algerian football federation said.
The 26-year-old has been struggling with the injury lately, but it was confirmed that he needs surgery before regaining his fitness.
Meghni, who plies his trade with Lazio, played a vital role in helping Rabah Saadane's side reach the South Africa finals for the first time in 24 years.
The Fennecs compete in Group C alongside England, USA and Slovenia.
