Ahli defender Wael Gomaa branded his side's match with Ittihad of Lybia the 'most important game' for the Red Devils this season. The Cairo giants slumped to a 2-0 loss at Ittihad in the CAF Champions League round of 16 in April. Ahli will be looking to overturn their goal deficit in the return leg this month. The Egyptian champions, who have claimed their sixth successive Egyptian Premier League title on Thursday, cut short their celebration to prepare for the African tie. "We have stopped celebrating the league title and have already started our perpetrations," Gomaa told FilGoal.com. "The meeting with Ittihad is our most important game this season. Our delight at the domestic triumph will be over if we fail to go through in the Champions League." Ahli need to beat Ittihad by a three-goal margin in order to qualify for the continental competition's group stage. "We all know how important this game is and the coaching staff members keep urging us to fully concentrate on it," Gomaa added. The 34-year-old suffered an injury to his head after the first leg in Libya when he was hit by a stone that was thrown from the stands. Gomaa's wound needed four stitches and Ittihad's officials apologized for the unfortunate incident.
