Real Madrid maintained their position on top of the Spanish Primera Liga with a 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid at the Bernabeu on Sunday. The visitors had the lead at the break, thanks to a fine strike by ex-Real winger Jose Antonio Reyes, who finished off a terrific team move. Real came back roaring after the break, with goals from Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa and Gonzalo Higuain sealing the win. Diego Forlan's penalty was never enough for Atletico, who haven't won against their city rivals since 1999. Real remain tied with Barca on top of the Liga table with 74 points, but the former have a slightly-better goal difference.
