Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand has suffered another injury setback and could well miss the upcoming friendly against Egypt on March 3rd. The 31-year-old sustained a back injury in training and has been confirmed out of United's Carling Cup final against Aston Villa on Sunday. "He tweaked his back in training and he won't be ready for Sunday," United manager Alex Ferguson said after Tuesday's 3-0 win over West Ham. "It is unfortunate for him that he's going to miss a couple of games." Ferdinand's season has been hampered by a series of injury problems which saw him start only six games for the Premier League champions so far. The commanding center-half has been installed as England captain last week, replacing Chelsea skipper John Terry. Should Ferdinand miss the game against Egypt, Steven Gerrard will lead the Three Lions against the African champions at Wembley.
