Egypt striker Emad Meteb believes that he couldn't make the score-line in the Pharaohs' 3-1 win over Cameroon because he wasn't lucky. The 26-year-old, who played the whole 120 minutes of the Nations Cup showdown, was completely off form and wasted a number of scoring chances throughout the game. "I was moving a lot and exerted huge efforts, but I wasn't meant to score," he said after the game. "Like my teammates, I'm eager to make the Egyptian fans happy, and I'm looking forward to beating Algeria and winning the title." The African champions will take on the Desert Foxes in the competition's semi-finals on Thursday. Off-form Egypt's performance against Cameroon was not up to par, assistant coach Shawki Gharib said. "We were off-form but the substitutions paid dividends and helped us win the game," he stated. "A lot of clear-cut opportunities were squandered by Meteb and (Mohamed) Zidan."
