Egypt striker Amr Zaki said he is not afraid to be held accountable should Hull City be relegated to the Championship at the end of the season. Zaki joined Hull on a six-month loan from Zamalek in January, as he was sought to help the 18th-placed side beat the drop. The 26-year-old impressed while playing for Wigan Athletic last term but returned to Zamalek after falling out with the club management. "Playing in the Premiership is a pleasure only known by those who experienced it," Zaki told CNNArabic.com. "I wanted to return back even with a club fighting relegation. I want to help them stay in the top flight. "If the club were relegated, I won't be responsible for that because they have been already in the red zone before I arrive."
Hull City registered only 20 goals this season, the third worst record in the Premier League so far. Zaki netted 10 goals for Wigan last term and he believes it was a good feat in his first appearance in England. "I didn't fail with Wigan," he said. "I have a new chance to prove that people who accused me of being unprofessional were wrong." Former Wigan manager Steve Bruce hit out at Zaki in the end of the season describing him as the "most unprofessional player I have ever worked with." Zaki irritated Bruce more than once because he used to return late from international duties.
