Mozambique sack coach for failing to reach 'final'

Dutchman Mart Nooij will not be offered an extension to his contract as Mozambique coach for failing to take the team to the African Cup of Nations final.
"There is no point to renew with Mart Nooij, who could not fulfill his goal of taking the team to the final," Mozambique FA chief Fezal Sidat told the AP.
Mozambique, who were competing in Group C with Egypt, Benin and Nigeria, were ousted after losing 3-0 to the Super Eagles on Wednesday.
Nooij's men won a single point from their three group stage games, drawing with Benin before losing to Egypt and Nigeria.
