Mohamed Salah has resigned as manager of Mansoura after less than a month in charge, citing problems with the club's board. Promoted side Mansoura played just two games under his guidance, losing against Ittihad and Zamalek before the mid-season Egyptian Premier League break. "I made it clear from the very beginning that I will leave Mansoura if the board does not make efforts to improve the club," Salah told FilGoal.com on Thursday. "They initially accepted my request to sign eight players in January but did not live up to their promise." He was also infuriated by what he described 'the intervention of Mansoura chairman in footballing matters'. "Chairman Ibrahim Megahed took too much time in evaluating the players I demanded Mansoura to sign. He is not a coach to do that," Salah said. "He also brought in new players without my approval, something that I can not accept." Salah took over at Mansoura following the resignation of Mohamed Helmi, who left the club after a run of poor results. The team entered the winter break in penultimate place with 10 points from 15 games.
