Cameroon boss Paul Le Guen has chosen his final roster for next month's African Cup of Nations in Angola. The list included the name of veteran defender Rigobert Song, who is set to make a record eighth Nations Cup appearance. Le Guen, however, has overlooked Tottenham Hotspur center-half Sebastien Bassong, much to the relief of the London club. Cameroon, who booked their place in the 2010 World Cup, will compete against Tunisia, Zambia and Gabon in Group D of the Nations Cup.
Elephants Squad Ivory Coast, another contender for the title in Angola, have also made their final selection for the competition. Bosnian coach Vahid Halilodzic has chosen a star-studded squad, led by the likes of Didier Drogba, Kolo Toure, Yaya Toure and Salomon Kalou. The Elephants squad included one player from the local Ivorian league; goalkeeper Vincent De Paul Angpan of ASEC Mimosas. Ivory Coast will start their CAN campaign against Ghana in Group B, also including Burkina Faso and Togo.
