Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has sarcastically denied any interest in Real Madrid forward Ruud van Nistelrooy. Van Nistelrooy has been reportedly suggested as a replacement to his Dutch compatriot Robin van Persie, who is ruled out for five months with an ankle injury. However, Wenger indicated that there is no way the Gunners can recruit the former Manchester United hitman. "It would not be the best of starts, bearing in mind our past relationship! Wenger replied when reporters asked him about signing Van Nistelrooy. "You have my number - you can text me all the names you find!" Van Nistelrooy, 33, is thought to be looking for first-team football in order to enhance his chances of joining Holland's squad in South Africa 2010.
