Arab Contractors made huge progress in the Egyptian Premier League table with a convincing 2-0 victory over Harras Hodoud on Wednesday. Reda Al-Weeshi opened the scoring after four minutes and Ibrahim Al-Hamalawi concluded the victory three minutes from time. Contractors jumped five places to lie eighth on 11 points, while Hodoud remain sixth with 12. In Cairo, ENPPI were held to a 1-1 home draw with Masri to take their winless streak to four games. Ibrahim Al-Helali's first-half strike for the visitors was cancelled out by Ivorian striker Zeka Goury. Masri lie 12th with 10 points, while ENPPI are seventh on 12. The league's newcomers Mansoura registered a thumping 4-0 victory over Asyut Petroleum to pop out of the relegation zone. Goals from Ali Eid (twice), Abdul-Aziz Hassan and Mohamed Al-Sadat ensured the second victory for Mohamed Helmi's team this season.
