Zamalek table bid for Hodoud duo
Published in FilGoal on 09 - 11 - 2009

Zamalek have tabled a bid for Harras Hodoud duo Abdul-Salam Nagah and Hani Saied, the Cairo club said on Monday.
"We've contacted Hodoud over the possibility of signing Nagah and Saied," Khaled Refaat, who is in charge of Zamalek's transfer dealings, told FilGoal.com.
Playmaker Nagah and defender Saied were transfer listed by Hodoud after rejecting the club's offer to extend their deals, which will run out at the end of the season.
They were even left out of the team's squad for several Egyptian Premier League games.
Without their presence, the faltering military club, who won their first ever title when they beat ENPPI in the Egyptian Cup final last season, slipped to ninth in the league table after extending their winless streak to five matches.
Hodoud confirmed that Zamalek have inquired about the availability of Nagah and Saied.
"We will respond to their offer within three or four days," the Alexandria-based club's general manager Helmi Mashour said.
"There are several other clubs who are also interested in the players."
Zamalek boast two playmakers in Shikabala and Alaa Ali but neither proved to be reliable.
Shikabala failed to live up to his potential due to some childish acts while Ali, who rose to prominence in the latter stages of last season, is snubbed by coach Henri Michel.
