Military Production coach Tarek Yehia branded his side's 3-1 Egyptian Premier League victory over ENPPI historic. "A victory over a team with a huge experience like ENPPI is a historic achievement," Yehia told a press conference following Friday's rescheduled game. Production, who were close to staging a remarkable comeback but suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat to Zamalek in their previous game, produced a superb display to outclass ENPPI, who suffered their second successive loss. Three goals from Hassan Mousa, Mohamed Zaki and Mohamed Abou-Hadid helped promoted Production maintain their fine run in the top flight. "We played a very good match and deserved to earn respect," Yehia, a former Zamalek left-back, added. "We are an ambitious side who aim to compete with the top guns." Production lie fifth in the 16-team table with 12 points, eight behind leaders and defending champions Ahli. ENPPI could have leapfrogged Ahli into top spot if they won their rescheduled ties, including the one against the Red Devils. However, their recent poor run places them in eighth place with 10 points, 10 adrift of Ahli, who played a game more. "ENPPI have played their worst game since my arrival. We deserved to lose," coach Diaa Al-Sayed commented.
