Ahli haven't reached an agreement with Mohamed Barakat over a new deal as recently reported, according to an official at the Cairo club. The official, who requested anonymity, said that both parties were still in negotiations over a contract extension. "We couldn't meet Barakat's financial demands," he told FilGoal.com. "He's considering our offer and we are waiting for him to make his final decision." FilGoal.com learnt that Ahli offered the mercurial midfielder EGP two million, whereas he wants one extra million. Barakat also didn't agree with the Egyptian champions on several contractual terms. However, the official is convinced that Barakat's loyalty to the Red Devils will surely make him agree personal terms soon. "It's just a matter of time," he added. The 32-year-old's current contract runs out in the summer.
