Ahli boss Hossam Al-Badri is aiming to meet members of the Egypt U-20 team in an attempt to pick up their spirits after an embarrassing World Cup exit. Hosts Egypt waved goodbye to the World Cup after losing 2-0 to Costa Rica in the last 16 phase, with nine Ahli youngsters among the squad. "The technical staff are keen to raise the youngsters' morale after the World Cup exit," Ahli football director Hadi Kashaba told the club's official site. "Al-Badri will sit with members of the U-20 team and he will later decide on their chances to join the first team." Ahli had youth players Moaz Al-Hennawi, Ahmed Shoukri, Ayman Ashraf, Mahmoud Toba, Saad Samir, Shehab Ahmed, Hesham Mohamed and Afroto with the Egypt squad. First team striker Mohamed Talaat was also a regular member of Miroslav Soukup's team, but was largely disappointing in the finals.
