Ahli fined Liberian striker Francis Doe $10,000 following his dismissal against Masri, the Cairo giants said on Thursday. Doe received a straight card on 26 minutes after appearing to head-butt Masri midfielder Ashour Al-Adham in Wednesday's Egyptian Premier League clash. Despite their numerical disadvantage, Ahli managed to take the lead through an Ahmed Hassan goal but Masri's Ahmed Osman secured a share of spoils with 16 minutes remaining. "Coach Hossam Al-Badri insisted any player who will get booked or sent off will be heavily fined," Ahli said in a statement on their official website. "The absence of any player affects the team, and this was clear against Masri." Doe has been Al-Badri's preferred choice upfront since joining Ahli in the close season after being released by American outfit DC United. The 23-year-old scored two goals in four league appearances for the Red Devils.
