Ismaili are close to reaching an agreement with winger Omar Gamal to extend his contract, the coastal club said on Sunday. "We could finalize the deal within the next two days," Ismaili chairman Nasr Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com. Gamal's contract with the Dervishes will expire next summer. The club are aiming to extend his stay for two more years. The 26-year-old is currently nursing a serious knee injury he sustained in May. His presence was sorely missed as last season's runners-up Ismaili made a poor start to the season, gaining just five points from their first four Egyptian Premier League games. Ismaili also tied down skipper Mohamed Hommos to a new three-year deal lately. Hommos, a one-club man, was offered a new contract after impressing in Egypt's Confederations Cup campaign. He notched the only goal as the Pharaohs caused a huge upset and beat world champions Italy 1-0 in the group stage.
