Masri crush Mahalla to make amends
Published in FilGoal on 19 - 08 - 2009

Masri made amends for their disappointing Egyptian Premier League start after crushing Ghazl Mahalla 3-0 away on Wednesday.
The Port Said-based club suffered a stunning 2-0 defeat to promoted Military Production but came out with all guns blazing against a poor Mahalla side to claim all three points.
Right-back Ahmed Fawzi put the visitors ahead on the quarter hour mark.
Forward Ibrahim Al-Helali doubled Masri's advantage just before the break and Mohamed Khalifa completed the rout five minutes from time.
Mahalla were booed off the pitch by their fans after slumping to their second successive defeat.
The Peasants were easily defeated by league holders Ahli in their first game that took place in Cairo.
Elsewhere, Gouna, who played their first match at their stadium after expanding its capacity to 15,000, survived their first defeat to earn a late 1-1 draw with fellow newcomers Mansoura.
Ali Diab fired Mansoura in front with ten minutes remaining but Amr Eissa secured a share of spoils in stoppage time.
Both sides have two points from two games.
Ittihad, who lost 3-1 to Petrojet in their first game, failed to keep their lead intact to draw 1-1 at home to Arab Contractors.
Military, who caused the biggest upset in the first round, settled for a goalless draw with Asyut Petroleum.
