Algeria midfielder Karim Ziani expressed his desire to join Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg from Marseille. Wolfsburg's €5million bid for Ziani was recently turned down, but it is expected that the Wolves will make another offer to snap up the 26-year-old. Ziani conceded that his decision to leave L'OM was instigated by the fact that new coach Didier Deschamps is unlikely to include him in his plans. "It's a disappointment. I chose Wolfsburg, I really want to go there," Ziani told French L'Equipe. He also stated that the recent appointment of Armin Veh as coach at Volkswagen Arena further encouraged him. "This is a coach who knows how I play. I am not going into the unknown. In a way, with him, I choose the faithful," he added. Ziani played for Algeria against Egypt in the 3-1 qualifying victory in Blida last month and is considered a key figure in Rabah Saadane's team.
