A number of Swiss newspapers gave FC Sion goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari credit for saving his team from what seemed an imminent loss against league leaders FC Basel. The two teams drew 2-2 on Sunday, in the game that witnessed the Egyptian guardian's first start in six Swiss league games. Le Matin wrote that Al-Hadari's performance marked an exceptional comeback, after the 36-year-old was recently left out of the team due personal and technical reasons. The paper dubbed the former Ahli man's display 'The Pharaoh's return', confirming that Al-Hadari prevented Basel from scoring on more than four occasions. Le Matin concluded by wondering if Al-Hadari's brave showing will earn him a starting spot in Sion's next game. Al-Hadari joined the Swiss side in February 2008, in an infamous transfer that saw the player leave Ahli without the Egyptian giants' consent. Watch Basel vs. Sion game highlights
