Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is going to make a cut-price offer for Wigan Athletic striker Amr Zaki, according to renowned paper Daily Mirror. The English manager reportedly wants to land the beleaguered hitman in the summer, after the latter's future at the JJB Stadium was brought into question. Redknapp was absolutely riveted by Zaki's amazing start to the season with the Latics, and apparently he's trying to take advantage of his current unfortunate status to bring him in for a low fee. The Egypt ace joined Wigan early this term on an extendable season-long loan deal, but he suddenly fell out with his coach Steve Bruce as well as club chairman Dave Whelan after several months of sheer success. He failed to report from international duty on time, after the Pharaohs' 1-1 draw with Zambia in the World Cup qualifiers final phase. Consequently, Bruce lashed out at Zaki, labeling him the 'most unprofessional player he has ever worked with'. According to the British newspaper, Redknapp wants to pay Zamalek a fee of £5million to acquire the services of the well-built marksman on a permanent basis. Spurs will be in dire need for a new frontman by the end of the season if out-of-favor Darren Bent was sold. On-loan Fraizer Campbell will rejoin Manchester United as well. According to the Mirror, Redknapp does not believe much in Roman Pavlyuchenko.
