Wigan Athletic's Egyptian striker Mido said he intends to hold clear-the-air talks with club and country teammate Amr Zaki to end a dispute that hit headlines for several days. "This matter will end soon," Mido told Modern Sport late on Thursday. "(Egypt coach) Hassan Shehata talked to me yesterday and I promised him that we will resolve our differences. "I will sit down with Amr to clear the air. Any player can have a problem with a teammate but we will try to come through it unscathed." Mido accused Zaki of trying to blemish his reputation by spreading 'false rumors' following Egypt's 1-1 draw with Zambia in the World Cup qualifiers. Those rumors indicated that Mido protested against Shehata's decision not to include him in the starting line-up for Sunday's game. "I had no choice but to respond because Egyptian newspapers started to attack me," the former Tottenham and Roma man added.
