Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has recuperated from a knee injury faster than expected, and will get back in regular training right away. Boateng, who plays for the Bundesliga side on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, sustained ligament damage in the 2-1 defeat at VFB Stuttgart on March 7th. The 22-year-old is keen to hit peak form before the end of the season, so as he ensures his chances of earning a permanent agreement at Dortmund. "I need to give my best, I want to win a permanent contract at Dortmund," former Hertha Berlin youngster Boateng told Bild. "The manager told me I should not jump the gun, because I would definitely get my chances to shine. "But I believe I might be able to return to action against Cologne in two weeks time." Investigations Apart from his injury, the German ace refuted reports that he was questioned along with former Hertha teammate Patrick Ebert by the police for criminal damage allegation. "I have been talking to Horst Hrubesch (Germany Under 21 head coach) about that already, but investigations could well take beyond the Easter weekend," Boateng added. "I have not demolished cars and I have nothing to fear in that case. "Dortmund just fined me for being around on the streets after midnight. That was a mistake I made."
