A row in the stands of the Naval Academy stadium in Alexandria halted Egypt's Wednesday training session after some angry fans invaded the pitch. A problem occurred when a sector of the fans watching the session directed insults towards keeper Essam Al-Hadari. The situation escalated when some of the fighting fans took their battle to the pitch, as Egypt players and assistant coach Shawki Gharib interfered to end the spat. The Pharaohs are currently holding a training camp in Alexandria, part of the team's preparations for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Zambia on Sunday. Al-Hadari lost popularity among some Ahli fans after his infamous departure from the club to join FC Sion in the Swiss league in 2008.
