Essam Al-Hadari's Sion moved into the safety zone with a 2-0 victory over Grasshoppers in the Swiss Super League on Saturday. Colombian midfielder Alvaro Dominguez gave them the lead eight minutes past the hour mark. Nigerian striker Saidu Alade Adeshina scored with 12 minutes remaining to ensure Sion's win. Egypt keeper Al-Hadari played full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet for the first time since Sion's goalless draw with Neuchatel Xamax last December. Sion moved into seventh place of the 10-team table on 24 points, one above the relegation zone. The two-time Swiss champions aim to retain their top-flight status for the third successive season after sealing promotion in 2006.
