Zamalek scored their first goal in four league games to draw 1-1 with Masri in the Egyptian Premier League game played in Port Said on Wednesday. The result also means that the White Knights have now gone four games without a win, since beating Police on December 20th. Hani Saied earned his team a point by cancelling out Mohamed Al-Gabbas' early strike. Masri controlled the game right from the start, as it was obvious they wanted to surprise Zamalek with an early goal. Similarly to the Ittihad game, Zamalek couldn't last longer than 17 minutes without conceding, when Al-Gabbas put Masri ahead. The striker scored his eighth goal of the season after capitalizing on Saied's error to slot home past the helpless Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed. Abdul-Halim Ali could have equalized for Zamalek after being set by Sherif Ashraf, but the veteran striker couldn't reach the ball before George Owu. Later in the half, Zamalek players were left fuming after the referee waved away Shikabala's claims for a penalty-kick. TV replays showed the forward may well have been tripped in the Masri box. On 37 minutes, Ashraf found himself one on one with Owu, but the Ghanaian keeper blocked the former's looping effort. Masri responded when Mohamed Abdul-Kader's shot was parried by Al-Sayed, before the international goalie stretched to block the rebound from Ibrahim Al-Hilali. Ahmed Shedid's free-kicks were causing Zamalek all sorts of trouble and on 44 minutes he sent another set piece inches away from Abdul-Wahed's post. Two minutes after the restart, Ahmed Al-Merghani gave Masri an early alarm with a powerful shot from outside the box that rattled Owu's bar. Ali met a brilliant ball from Shikabala by volleying wiles away from the Masri goal. In the 65th minutes, Shikabala's Zamalek were finally given their first goal in four games when the playmaker's pinpoint free-kick was headed home by Saied. In the 84th minutes Ashour al-Adham's low free-kick whistled past the Zamalek post to end the game in a draw. Watch the game's goals
