Mohamed Shawky was not included in Middlesbrough squad for Saturday's fifth round FA Cup tie at West Ham United. The Egyptian midfielder was not even among Boro's substitutes as Gareth Southgate starts with Julio Arca, Didier Digard and Gary O'Neill in midfield. Shawky, who plays week in week in with Boro, did not feature in the team's last two Premiership games with Blackburn and Manchester City. The 27-year-old took part in Egypt's 2-2 friendly draw with Ghana last week, scoring a rare goal for the African champions.
