Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Shawky was apparently injured as Middlesbrough reached the FA Cup fifth round after beating Wolves 2-1 at the Riverside on Saturday. Afonso Alves put Boro ahead just before halftime with a delicate chip after being fed by Turkish forward Tuncay Sanli. Sam Vokes drew Wolves in the 63rd minute when he headed home David Edwards' cross. Substitute Marvin Emnes scored the winner for Middlesbrough with seven minutes remaining through a low shot after being released by Stewart Downing. Middlesbrough coach Gareth Southgate included Shawky in his starting line-up but the former Ahli man was replaced during the break. He made way for Justin Hoyte after taking a couple of knocks in the first half.
