Bundesliga leaders Hoffenheim have completed the loan signing of Werder Bremen striker Boubacar Sanogo until the end of the season. The club's official website stated that Sanogo should be the perfect replacement for top scorer Vedad Ibisevic, who is out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. Sanogo, who joined Bremen in 2007, fell down the pecking order at the club after the arrival of Claudio Pizzaro in the summer. Mixed emotions From his side, the Ivorian international stated that he hopes to resurrect his Bundesliga career by playing for Hoffenheim. "It comes as a surprise. I am happy and sad at the same time. I felt very happy at Bremen, but maybe I will have more chances to play with Hoffenheim," said Sanogo. Bremen manager Klaus Allofs also added that it was for both parties' good that Sanogo leaves the club for the moment. "There has been a bit of discontent in recent months, both with the player and from our side," he said. "After careful consideration, we have decided to agree to this move for both side's sake." Prior to joining Bremen, 26-year-old Sanogo played for Ain in Emirates, Kaiserslautern and Hamburg in Germany.
