Former Holland winger Marc Overmars is set to return to professional football, four years after his retirement. The 35-year-old will resume his career with Dutch second division side Go Ahead Eagles Deventer, where he used to be a board member since 2005. "The main reason for my comeback is to help the club, but I also want to play again," said Overmars. Overmars played for a number of high-profile clubs in Europe, including Ajax, Arsenal and Barcelona. The pacey winger also has an impressive international career as he represented Holland 86 times, scoring 17 goals for the Oranje. A troublesome knee forced him to quit the game in 2004, but Overmars is now ready to make his comeback. He was involved in Jaap Stam's testimonial this summer, and appeared to be fit in the friendly game in Zwolle.
