Zamalek coach Reiner Hollmann said on Thursday his side need new strikers to provide sufficient support to Junior Agogo. The team's lack of firepower was obvious in two successive defeats to arch-rivals Ahli in the CAF Champions League and the Egyptian Super Cup. Ghana striker Agogo, who joined Zamalek from Nottingham Forest, failed to make a notable impact due to lack of support from his teammates. "Zamalek need to sign two more strikers," Hollmann told Modern TV. "The unavailability of Amr Zaki and Shikabala left us with a few options upfront." Combative frontman Zaki has recently joined English Premier League side Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan. Talented winger Shikabala, one of the mainstays of Zamalek's squad, was banned for six months after making an illegitimate move to the Cairo giants from PAOK Saloniki. Hollmann's comments may raise questions over the future of striking duo Abdul-Halim Ali and Mostafa Gaafar. Both players seemingly do not feature in Hollmann's plans for next season. Best Defense Hollmann also said that Zamalek need one more addition to strengthen their midfield. But when asked about Zamalek's backline, the German coach hailed the team's defenders. "Zamalek have the best defense in Egypt," the 58-year-old boss said. "The team also do not have any problems in the goalkeeping position. We have three super keepers."
