The Egyptian FA will send a delegation to FIFA headquarters in Zurich in the upcoming few days, following the world governing body's recent notification. FIFA sent a letter to the FA last weekend, sounding their dissatisfaction with the government interference in the association's election process. The concerns arose after the Egyptian Higher Council for Sports (HCS) demanded the Egyptian FA to hold its elections after this year's Beijing Olympic Games although their mandate is due to expire in 2009. Consequently, EFA chairman Samir Zaher announced that a delegation of four board members will fly to Zurich next week in order to explain the situation to FIFA. Zaher added that the FA will decide on the exact departure date of the delegation during a board meeting next Monday.
