Ittihad have completed the signing of ENPPI duo Reda Metwalli and Farag Shalabi after prolonged negotiations, the Alexandria-based club announced on Monday. "We have finally managed to sign Metwalli and Shalabi," Ittihad president Mohamed Moselhi told FilGoal.com. Frontman Metwalli could solve Ittihad's striking crisis while Shalabi's penetrations down the left flank might be of the team's benefit. Ittihad are also looking to sign two more players from Egyptian Cup finalists ENPPI. The six-time cup champions are tracking midfield duo Ibrahim Al-Shayeb and Osama Al-Sayed. "We are yet to reach an agreement with ENPPI over Al-Shayeb and Al-Sayed," Moselhi added. Taha Basri, who helped Ittihad survive relegation after being appointed as the team's coach in the latter stages of the season, wants to overhaul his squad. Baladeya's talented playmaker Gamal Gad heads Basri's wish-list for the new season.
