Stars coach expects biased refereeing
Published in FilGoal on 10 - 05 - 2008

Platinum Stars coach Miguel Gamondi expects biased refereeing when his side take on Ahli in the second-leg of the CAF Champions League round of 16 on Sunday.
"I am saying right now that there will be a problem with the referees," Gamondi was quoted as saying by South African newspaper Business Day.
"I have coached in three Arabic countries and I know exactly what the referees are capable of.
"Anything is possible when your team is away to those countries and we have to be prepared."
However, the Argentinean tactician urged his players not to protest the referee's decision regardless of the outcomes.
"I have been telling the players that they cannot protest any of the referee's decisions."
"They cannot protest even if they are on the receiving end of some bad tackles because that referee will be waiting to issue them with yellow cards," he added.
Not Invincible
Stars will be looking to defend their narrow advantage when they play Ahli at Cairo International Stadium.
The South African outfit sprung a surprise by beating the five-time African champions 2-1 at home.
Gamondi is confident Stars can cause a huge upset and eliminate Ahli, whom he believes are not an invincible team.
"Going to Cairo and getting a result is not going to be mission impossible because Ahli are not invincible," he said.
"We have to retain the winning mentality we gained at home in the first leg."
