Kaka scored a hat-trick to help Milan thrash relegation-threatened Reggina 5-1 and keep alive their hopes of securing a Champions League berth next season. The Brazilian playmaker converted two first-half penalties to put the hosts in a commanding lead. Edgar Barreto pulled one back for Reggina five minutes before the break but Milan ran riot in the second period. Kaka added the third for Milan eight minutes past the hour mark before Filippo Inzaghi killed off Regina's slim hopes five minutes later. Brazilian youngster Alexandre Pato completed the rout one minute from time.

Del Piero's Brilliance Alessandro Del Piero also notched a hat-trick as Juventus crushed Atalanta 4-0 away from home. Defender Nicola Legrottaglie was also on the scoresheet as Juventus cemented their third-place position with 67 points. The Bianconeri also have hopes of finishing second behind leaders Inter Milan as they are just five points shy of Roma.
