Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri admitted his side did not deserve to win after a 1-1 draw with Telecom Egypt on Saturday. "The technical staff is unsatisfied with the players' display tonight," Al-Badri told Modern TV after the game. "Apart from our goal, we created just one goalscoring opportunity in the first-half. We had a very negative approach and did not deserve to win." Veteran defender Emad Al-Nahhas headed Ahli in front early in the first-half but his strike was cancelled out by Nasser Hassanein's goal eight minutes from time. Al-Badri is unhappy with the manner in which his players respond every time they go ahead. Last Sunday, Ahli defeated Tersana 1-0 after a dull affair as they never tried to double their advantage when they opened the scoring. This time, they were punished. "We talked to the players a lot about Tersana match but it seems that they still have something in their minds which we do not understand," Al-Badri said. "The technical staff will calmly sit down with the players to find out the reason for their negative performances." Al-Badri said that striker Emad Meteb missed the game due to 'mental exhaustion'. "He has been playing for three years without resting. Meteb is mentally exhausted." Meanwhile, Al-Badri revealed that Angolan striker Flavio Amado sprained his ankle in the Telecom Egypt match. "He was replaced by Islam Al-Shater after suffering an ankle sprain. He will undergo a scan tomorrow to determine the full extent of the injury."
