Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri is surprised by Essam Al-Hadari's claims that he has been mistreated by the club during his 12-year spell with the Red Devils. The Egypt goalkeeper has infuriated Ahli officials and fans after leaving for Switzerland to join FC Sion without the consent of his club. Despite making an initial U-turn on his stance, as he returned to apologize for Ahli faithful, Al-Hadari has recently made a second attempt to move to Sion. He justified his decision by intimating that he never found a warm atmosphere since his return to Egypt. The 35-year-old goalie, who played a key role in Egypt's Nations up triumph, claimed that his teammates and technical staff members always ignored his presence in training. Al-Hadari went on and said that he has been mistreated by Ahli since joining them in 1996, much to the surprise of Al-Badri. "I wonder how a player who is always subjected to unfair treatment can extend his deal with the unjust party. That doesn't make sense," he said. FIFA are holding their investigations to decide which club should own Al-Hadari, who believes that he invoked article 17 of the world governing body rules to depart.
