Bayern Munich went seven points clear on top of the Bundesliga table after Luca Toni's brace gave them a 2-1 home victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. The Italian prolific striker opened the scoring after 17 minutes when he tapped in into an empty net after being fed by Miroslav Klose's low cross. He doubled the lead in the 59th minute after heading home Philipp Lahm's brilliant cross at the far post. Toni is the Bundesliga top scorer with 16 goals, one ahead of Stuttgart frontman Mario Gomez. The Bavarian giants are in charge of the league table with 53 points, seven clear of second-placed Hamburg, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Wolfsburg. Defender Bastian Reinhardt put Hamburg ahead in the 14th minute but Wolfsburg striker Danijel Ljuboja leveled the score seven minutes after restart. Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan sat on the bench during the entire 90 minutes. He is set to arrive in Cairo on Sunday to take part in Egypt's friendly game against Argentina three days later.
