Miroslav Klose's late double salvo gave Bayern Munich a 3-1 home victory over Mohamed Zidan's Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Sunday. Bayern, who have 38 points, narrowed the gap with leaders Hoffenheim to just one point after the latter were held to a 1-1 draw by Monchengladbach on Saturday. Paraguayan striker Nelson Valdez stunned the home crowd after two minutes. He capitalized on Martin Demichelis slip to go clear on goal before firing into the top corner past the advancing keeper. Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto drew Bayern level in the 24th minute when he scored on the rebound after Franck Ribery's shot was parried by Roman Weidenfeller into his path. The match looked as though it was heading for a draw but Klose ensured Bayern would claim all three points. He put the Bavarians ahead with two minutes remaining as he controlled a poor clearance from Dortmund defender Felipe Santana to slot home. The Germany striker put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time with an easy tap-in after being fed by Ribery's low cross. Egypt forward Zidan started on the bench before being introduced in the 74th minute instead of Swiss striker Alexander Frei. The 27-year-old, who scored four league goals for Dortmund so far, had a sole chance to score five minutes from time. He latched onto a long pass but Michael Rensing's perfectly-timed interception prevented him from controlling the ball. Watch the match's goals
