Amr Zaki admitted that the victory in the Egyptian Cup semis will count for nothing if Zamalek failed to win the title. The Egypt striker scored a goal and dished out an assist as Zamalek beat Harras Al-Hodoud 2-1 and reached their third successive final. Though, Zamalek failed to win on the past two occasions, losing to their arch-rivals Ahli 3-0 and 4-3 respectively. "We wanted to be in the final for the sake of the fans," Zaki said after Tuesday's game. "Only the title would satisfy them," added Zaki, who was cheered by thousands of Zamalek fans, packing the Military Academy Stadium. Despite Zamalek's poor form this season, crowds have been supporting their team in the Cup, hoping for their first trophy in four years. The Cairo giants won their last title in 2004, when they edged past Ahli to snatch the league title. Zaki broke the deadlock early in the first-half before Al-Hodoud leveled through a spot-kick. But Zaki rose above all challengers to head the ball into the path of Amr Al-Safti in the second period only for the defender to poke home. "It is not important now who scores. The Cup is the ultimate goal," Zaki said. "I don't know how would I train or play again if we didn't win it."
