French side Lille are reportedly interesting in signing Egypt and Ismaili defender Hani Saied following his brilliant display in the 2008 Nations Cup The club's fan site said on Friday that Lille officials will be monitoring him in the next few months before making their bid in the summer. The report also revealed that Saied's performance caught the eye of other French sides who will be also watching him. The 27-year old defender was a key figure in Egypt's successful campaign and was nominated among the substitutes of the African team of the competition. Saied had a previous spell in Europe as he spent six years in Italy with Bari and Messina before moving to Belgian side Mons.
