French club Lille have set a $1-million bid to sign Egyptian international left-back Mohamed Abdul-Wahab on a three-year contract from UAE side Al-Zafra. The 23-year-old defender is due to arrive in France within the next two days to undergo medical examinations, his agent Mamdouh Al-Saati told FilGoal.com. The French club will be playing in next season's UEFA Cup after finishing third in the French League 1. Abdul-Wahab, who has been on loan to Egyptian champions Ahli for the past two years, still has one season left in his contract with second division club Al-Zafra. He played a major part in Egypt's campaign towards the African Cup of Nations trophy as well as helping Ahli to win the domestic double and the African Champions League.
