Egypt defender Mohamed Abdul-Wahab said he doubts that his UAE side Al-Zafra received any offer to sign him in the next season from Premiership club Sheffield United. Abdul-Wahab, who plays for Ahli on loan, told FilGoal.com on Wednesday that he is not even eligible to play in England. According to Premiership rules, no footballer can play in England without featuring for at least 75% of his national team games over the previous two years. However, the prominent left-back is a starting member in the Egyptian national team over the past three years. He was also a key player in Egypt's victorious campaign in the African Cup of Nations in February. Abdul-Wahab has issues with Al-Zafra and has said he wants to make a permanent move to Ahli, with whom he won with the Egyptian title and the African Champions League. The Emirates club is keen to sell his contract, which expires in the end of the next season, to any European club.
