Captain Raul Gonzales and keeper Iker Casillas have inked new deals with Real Madrid on Thursday night. Raul, whose contract expires in 2010, signed a one year extension while Casillas penned a nine-year deal that will keep him tied at the Bernabeu until 2017. "Iker Casillas and Raul, and Real Madrid, are wanted by, they complement, and are needed at the club, therefore they have opted to join up for life," Real Chairman Ramon Calderon said in a ceremony on Thursday. "I can tell you that they're getting less than they deserve because they are such an example to the youngsters, and the excitement that they bring to the fans is not quantifiable - you can't value them economically." The duo has been in negotiations with the Madrid bosses for the past few weeks but there were no big troubles and things went smoothly.
