Cameroon midfielder Alexandre Song has been passed fit to play against Egypt in the African Cup of Nations final on Sunday. The 20-year-old did not take part in training on Saturday, prompting suggestions that he may miss out on the highly anticipated encounter. However, Cameroon coach Otto Pfister assured the Indomitable Lions' fans that Song would be available against The Pharaohs. The German tactician did not clarify the reason why Song has missed training, saying that it was a 'choice'. The Arsenal man, who is the nephew of Cameroon captain Regobert Song, has played a pivotal role in his country's campaign towards the final. He stayed on the bench against Egypt in Group C opener but was thrown into the fray with the Pharaohs three up. Song put a fine display in midfield and helped Cameroon reduce the gap. Egypt won 4-2.
