Hamburg SV forward Mohamed Zidan has a strained relationship with his teammates, German daily Bild reported on Wednesday. The Egyptian forward scored from the spot in Hamburg's 3-0 victory over Rennes in the UEFA Cup but his teammates were not pleased with his attitude. According to Bild, Zidan rushed to take the awarded penalty in spite of Piotr Trochowski's demand to play it. The 25-year-old celebrated his goal but few of Hamburg players congratulated him. The paper also stated that Zidan's 'disastrous' appearance after coming on as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 defeat to Werder Bremen prompted an angry reaction from coach Huub Stevens. The furious Dutch tactician raved at Zidan in front of his teammates, slamming his performance in the Bundesliga encounter. Unfulfilled Potential Despite his exploits with Mainz, the talented forward did not live up to expectations since his arrival at Hamburg in the off-season. Zidan, who scored three goals so far with Hamburg, hasn't featured regularly under Stevens. However, his chances of breaking through Hamburg's squad could be boosted if current Mainz boss Jurgen Klopp takes over from Stevens, who announced that he will leave at the season's end.
