Etoile president Moez Driss is over the moon after his side clinched the CAF Champions League title for the first time in their history. Despite being held to a goalless draw in Sousse, the Tunisians managed to claim a surprising 3-1 victory over holders Ahli at Cairo Stadium to lift the trophy. "We fulfilled Tunisia's dream," Driss told ART Sports following the match. Driss is overjoyed his young side beat the odds and hopes Etoile will make a remarkable impact in the World Club Cup in Japan next December. "This is a new generation of players who are eager and determined to be successful. We have now 10 internationals who play in the team." Etoile were missing regular duo skipper Seif Ghezal and left full back Mehdi Meriah through suspension but Saber Ben Frej believes his side were not affected. "We played as if we didn't miss anybody," Ben Frej, who put in an impressive display in the match, said. "We were not afraid of facing Ahli as we are used to playing such important fixtures. Furthermore, coach Bertrand Marchand told us to play our usual game and not be worried."
