Etoile Sahel chairman Moez Driss revealed that Friday's CAF Champions League final against holders Ahli won't be decisive for the Tunisian outfit, despite the importance of the tie. Tunisian reports suggested recently that coach Bertrand Marchand could lose his job if the team failed to snatch the title from the Egyptian champions. However, the Etoile chairman believes that a defeat in the final would not be devastating, and should not mar the team's success in this season's competition. "The game against Ahli will be historical, yet not decisive for us," Etoile chairman Driss told a press conference. "If we won it would be a major achievement, but if we didn't make it, life goes on and our morale should not be affected, especially because we are facing a very tough opponent. "This season was great for Tunisian football, we have two teams in the finals of the continent's two club competitions." Tunisia's Club Sfaxien are in pole position to win the CAF Confederation Cup after their massive 4-2 away first-leg final win over Sudan's Al-Merreikh. While Sfaxien's first-leg result turned out to be a positive one, many believe that Etoile's first-leg goalless draw with Ahli was disappointing. "The scoreline in Sousse is neither negative nor positive for us, our chances are equal, but we are aware of our opposition's capabilities," added Driss. Ahli are on course to win an unprecedented third successive and record-breaking sixth title if they can maintain their supremacy over the Tunisians in the past couple of years.
